"Future studies are needed to redefine which asymptomatic pregnant patients should be screened with tuberculin skin test and to clarify the timing and appropriateness of chest x-ray testing in this patient population," researcher Joanna Tulczynska and colleagues from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine wrote in an abstract presented at the 1996 Clinical World Congress on Diseases of the Chest, held October 27-31 in San Francisco, California.
