"Short-Course Intermittent Chemotherapy Regimen For Tuberculous Meningitis."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 10th Mediterranean Congress of Chemotherapy, held October 20-25, 1996, in Antalya, Turkey, "Short-course, intermittent chemotherapy has been applied in 48 patients with tuberculous meningitis in the period 1989-1995. In the initial treatment phase, lasting 2-3 months, all patients received daily doses of INH, RMP, PZA, and in 17 patients STM was also applied. Upon that, intermittent, pulse therapy was continued two times a week, during 7-10 months.
