"Tuberculous Salpingitis and Ascites Complication of Low Dose (alpha)-INF Treatment."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 31st Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of the Liver, held August 25-29, 1996, in Geneva, Switzerland, "We report the development of infectious complication during low dose treatment with recombinant human interferon (rhIFN-(alpha)2a) in our series of 10 patients with chronic hepatitis B. Twenty-four year old female patient with CAH-B infection was treated with 1.5 MU of rhIFN-(alpha)2a. At the fourth month of treatment ascites was found on the follow-up examination.
