At Risk Children Targeted for Infant Immunization Week

More than 50,000 children under the age of two are vulnerable to potentially serious diseases, such as whooping cough and hepatitis B.

During National Infant Immunization Week, April 20-26, 1997, parents were reminded that these, and eight other common diseases, can be prevented with vaccine. Free or low cost immunizations were available at many sites during the week and throughout the year.
