National Immunization Information Hotline Launched

Published in TB and Outbreaks Week, May 19th, 1997

People with questions about vaccinations can call the National Immunization Information Hotline, a new toll-free service providing information about vaccine-preventable diseases and immunizations to protect against them.

The hotline is operated by the American Social Health Association under contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Immunization Program Hotline counselors.

The hotline is expected to answer 52,000 calls each year on its English service (800/232-2522) and 5,200 calls annually on its Spanish service (800/232-0233).
