Treatment History Predictive of MDR-TB Development

Previous treatment outcome and current clinical and epidemiologic histories can be used to predict the development of multidrug-resistance in patients undergoing retreatment for tuberculosis, according to a report from the University of California at Berkeley.

Researcher Afranio L. Kritski and colleagues also found these variables to be important predictors of adverse outcomes in retreated patients.
