TST Can Be Used To Diagnose TB In Children With Prior BCG Vaccination

The tuberculin skin test (TST) is an important tool for diagnosing tuberculosis in children. But if children have received the Bacille Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccine, which is provided to an estimated 100 million children worldwide each year, they may falsely test positive for TB using TST.
