"Risk Factors for Developing Tuberculosis After Isoniazid Chemoprophylaxis in HIV infected Patients."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 37th ICAAC, held September 28 - October 1, 1997, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, "Objective: To determine the long-term effectiveness of a 12-month course of isoniazid chemoprophylaxis against tuberculosis in HIV infected patients, as well as the risk factors for isoniazid failure. Patients and Methods: A retrospective cohort of 66 HIV infected patients, PPD-positive, who had received 12 months of isoniazid prophylaxis and who had completed at least 24 months of follow-up.
