In a study of tuberculosis infection among children in Botswana, where 90 percent of infants receive bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccination at birth, researcher D. Rumisha and colleagues found that an induration of 10 mm was indicative of active infection and not vaccine-induced anergy.
