"PPD-Test {{>=}} 10 mm in HIV Infected patients is Indicative of Slower Decline of CD4+ Cell Counts and Bet

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 37th ICAAC, held September 28 - October 1, 1997, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, "ANRS 011, a TB prophylaxis trial, enrolled HIV infected pts with CD4 between 200 and 600/mm3, a PPD-test {{>=}}10 mm and no evolutive TB at inclusion. Slow progression to AIDS and slow decline of CD4 was noted in pts followed in this trial. To confirm this possible beneficial effect of strong positivity of PPD-test on clinical and immunological evolution, we performed a comparative study of 2 cohorts of pts.
