"Tuberculin Skin Testing Practices among Pennsylvania Physicians."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 37th ICAAC, held September 28 - October 1, 1997, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, "Background: In early 1996, a Pennsylvania pediatrician was diagnosed with smear and culture positive pulmonary tuberculosis (TB). Amid intense publicity and public concern, 2 local health departments conducted 3 months of intensive tuberculin skin test (TST) screening for more than 1400 exposed children. Methods: Four months after that screening was complete, we assessed routine TST practices of private physicians who saw pediatric patients.
