"To our knowledge, oral ulcers have not been reported previously (with this condition)," Carlos Perez and colleagues from Pamplona's Hospital Virgin del Camino wrote ("Unusual Presentation of Tuberculous Rheumatism [Poncet's Disease] with Oral Ulcers and Tuberculid," Clinical Infectious Diseases, April 1998;1003-1004).
Poncet's disease is characterized by a polyarthritis that occurs during acute tuberculous infection in which no mycobacterial involvement can be found or other known cause of polyarthritis detected....
