"Culture-Negative Tuberculosis (TB) Cases, United States, 1993-1996."

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the American Thoracic Society, 1998 International Conference, held April 25-29, 1998, in Chicago, Illinois, "In order to characterize culture-negative TB cases in the U.S., we analyzed data from TB cases reported to the CDC national surveillance system from 1993 through 1996 from the 50 states and the District of Columbia. TB cases that had at least one negative culture from any site and no positive or unknown culture results were defined as culture-negative.
