Lung Disease in Flock Workers Linked to Airborne Nylon

Airborne nylon fibers at flocking plants in Rhode Island and Canada appear to be responsible for cases of interstitial lung disease among factory workers.

"Although the specific cause of flock worker's lung remains in question, the recognition of this occupational lung disease in workers in two textile plants in two countries is a finding of substantial public health importance relevant to physicians caring for patients employed in the flocking industry," David G.
