According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 4th International Congress on Drug Therapy in HIV Infection, held November 8-12, 1998, in Glasgow, United Kingdom, "The evaluation of the prevalence of pulmonary and extrapulmonary tuberculosis in HIV/AIDS patients hospitalized in Warsaw AIDS D&TC between 1994-1997 and the Value of methods used for tuberculosis diagnosis was the aim of the study. Tuberculosis (TB) was diagnosed in 74 patients, including 62.2% drug users, aged of 24-54 years. 24 of those persons died.
