Third of Patients Falsely Report Taking Medication

Researchers at two universities found that 30% of volunteer patients in a clinical trial reported that they took their medication when they did not, raising questions about the accuracy of the study conclusions.

The new report was published in the August 2000 issue of Chest.

One hundred and one patients were studied at Johns Hopkins University (JHU) and the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
