New studies also report that laryngeal tuberculosis is on the increase.
"Despite the dramatic increase in the incidence of laryngeal tuberculosis, the disease has gained new interest as a result of claims that it has changed its clinical patterns," said J.E. Shin et al., authors of the new study.
The study, retrospective in nature, reviewed the clinical manifestations of 22 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of laryngeal tuberculosis. Complaints of hoarseness were common...
