T-Cell Depletion Has Little Effect On Infection Risk

"T-cell depletion of the graft delays immune recovery following allogeneic peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (PBSCT), but it is not clear whether it actually increases the risk of severe infections after the transplant," Dr. Rodrigo Martino and colleagues at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona and the Grupo Espanol de Trasplante Hematopoyetico (GETH).
