Dr. Nizar F. Maraqa and colleagues at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville "compared adverse drug reactions (ADRs) to oxacillin with those to nafcillin and other antibiotics."
They found that oxacillin use carried a heightened risk of liver toxicity and other complications, according to their report in the January 2002 issue of Clinical Infectious Diseases.
