Anthrax

Complete antidote tested in animals

EluSys Therapeutics, Inc., announced a research collaboration with the University of Texas at Austin to test a complete anthrax antitoxin drug in animals for the first time.

The research will be conducted at the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research.

The study, to be done in rats, will be conducted in two phases and will compare the antibody to anthrax toxin developed by UT Austin with an antianthrax antibody screened and selected by EluSys. Both antibodies will be inserted into heteropolymers developed by EluSys.
