V. Sawlani and coauthors at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow described the MRI "features of peripheral tubercular arthritis."
"The clinical presentation of peripheral tubercular arthritis is variable and simulates other chronic inflammatory arthritic disorders," they explained. "MRI is a highly sensitive technique which demonstrates fine anatomical details and identifies the early changes of arthritis, which are not visible on radiographs."
