Antiprotozoan drug imidocarb upregulates macrophage expression of IL-10

According to recent research published in the journal Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, "Interleukin-10 (IL-10), a potent antiinflammatory and immunosuppressive cytokine, plays an important role in the regulation of immune responses. To discover small molecules that stimulate IL-10 production, a cell-based screening assay was performed using a murine macrophage cell line, RAW264.7.
