World Health Organization to send team of experts to Vietnam

The World Health Organization (WHO) said it is sending 2 experts to Vietnam to investigate a recent bird flu outbreak that killed 3 people.

An epidemiologist and a laboratory technician will travel to Hanoi said Hans Troedsson, WHO country representative in Vietnam. They will then begin working to try to piece together outbreaks that killed two young children in northern Ha Tay province and a 25-year-old woman in southern Hau Giang province.

"If there are no new cases, we will be making a record assessment of what has happened and then start to look a bit more long term at seeing how we can improve preparedness for outbreaks and strengthening...
