Two more human cases of West Nile virus reported in Pima County, Arizona

Pima County has two more human cases of the West Nile virus but health officials said both people have fully recovered.

A man and a woman, both middle-aged, appear to have contracted the virus in the county, authorities said.

The man recovered after a short hospital stay and the woman had a milder form of the illness and recovered fully without hospitalization.

Neither person was identified.

In Pima County's first known case, a 50-year-old Tucson man was hospitalized with West Nile symptoms on August 19.

He suffered brain damage and polio-like paralysis and remains hospitalized, but...
