The bulk of the state's vaccine order has arrived, and health officials said it now will be distributed to doctors, nursing homes and hospitals.
"We expect that providers will begin offering vaccine for people in high-risk groups by the end of this week or early next week," Health Commissioner John Stephen said in a statement November 9, 2004.
More than 60,000 doses are ready to be sent out to healthcare providers, said William Kassler, MD, the state medical director.
