Study 1: The effects of antiviral treatment on Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) gene expression have been characterized through real-time quantitative PCR analysis.
EBV "has the potential to undergo latent and lytic pathways during infection," virologists in Taiwan explained. "However, expression of many of the viral genes during the lytic-latent transition remains unclear."
