Individuals in Iran have fairly good AIDS-related knowledge.

"A population-based study was conducted to investigate about AIDS knowledge and attitudes among the general public in Tehran, Iran. Using a short questionnaire a random sample of 1172 individuals aged between 15 and 65 years were interviewed," scientists writing in the journal Patient education and counseling report.

"The mean age of the respondents was 34.8 (S.D.=12.9) years, 52% were male and mostly married (70%), and had received secondary education or above (84%). The findings indicated that the respondents had a fairly good to excellent knowledge about AIDS. The correct answers...
