Study of molecular structure of EBA-175 published in journal

By determining the molecular structure of EBA-175 researchers have uncovered valuable clues for rational antimalaria vaccine and drug development. The findings were reported in the July 29, 2005, issue of the journal Cell.

The recent efforts were coled by Dr. Kim Lee Sim, president of Protein Potential LLC. Sim has worked for more than 15 years to develop this protein as a target for antimalaria vaccines and drugs.
