According to recent research from India, "The pharmacokinetics of alpha- and beta-diastereomers of arteether, a potent erythrocytic schizontocidal agent, and their active metabolite dihydroartemisinin were studied in male Sprague-Dawley rats after oral, intramuscular and intravenous administrations."
