Integrating multiantigen ELISA with AFB smear improves sensitivity for active TB screening

In a recently published report, investigators in the United States sought to "create a simple screening strategy for tuberculosis (TB) that includes antibody detection assays to improve the accuracy of microscopic examination of sputum for acid-fast bacilli (AFB smear)."
