Incidence of infectious spondylitis in Spain underestimated

The incidence of infectious spondylitis in Albacete, Spain may have been underestimated.

According to a recently published study from Spain, "Infectious spondylitis (IS) is an infrequent disease, although there are few data on its real incidence. To date, there only one" published study, carried out in Denmark, "that rigorously assesses the incidence of this disease."
