Naegleria fowleri causes seasonal meningoencephalitis in Holstein cattle. "Primary amoebic meningoencephalitis is a fulminant infection of the human central nervous system caused by Naegleria fowleri, a free-living amoeba that thrives in artificially or naturally heated water.
