Immediate cementless total hip arthroplasty is successful in patients with active tuberculosis. According to recent research published in the Journal of Arthroplasty, "We report the results of a primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) in 7 patients with advanced active tuberculous arthritis of the hip and had lost the chance of preserving the hip without replacement surgery.
