U.S. HHS deputy secretary speaks at pandemic planning summit

Acknowledging that pandemics happen and require a strong local response, governor Ruth Ann Minner and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) deputy secretary Alex Azar addressed federal and local public health officials, business and community leaders about pandemic influenza preparedness.

Azar was in Delaware as part of a national tour of states, as the federal government prepares the country for a potential influenza pandemic.
