Study 1: High doses of flu vaccine are safe and immunogenic in elderly persons.
According to a recently published study from the United States, "Immune responses after influenza immunization are reduced in elderly individuals, the group at greatest risk for complications and death after influenza. Improved vaccines are needed to address this problem."
