Mycobacterium avium paratuberculosis/self-mimics as targets of cross-reactive antibody responses in Crohn's disease. According to recent research from England, "Most Crohn's disease (CD) patients show seroreactivity against Mycobacterium avium paratuberculosis (MAP), suggesting a pathogenic role for this organism.
