Studies from the People's Republic of China, United States and France describe new findings in bird flu research

Investigators in the People's Republic of China, United States and France have published new bird flu data. Study 1: H5N1 influenza virus from bar-headed geese collected during an outbreak was characterized. According to a study from People's Republic of China, "Influenza A viruses are usually nonpathogenic in wild aquatic birds, their natural reservoir.
