Study 1: HIV postexposure prophylaxis completion rates are low among adolescent sexual assault victims.
In a recently published report, investigators in the United States conducted a chart review to "describe the use of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) postexposure prophylaxis (PEP) in adolescent survivors of sexual assault and to explore barriers to PEP completion in this population."
