Researchers from Queen Mary's School of Medicine and Dentistry report recent findings in tuberculosis therapy

A report, "Molecular epidemiology and prevalence of mutations conferring rifampicin and isoniazid resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains from the southern Ukraine," is newly published data in Clinical Microbiology and Infection. According to a study from London, the United Kingdom, "Understanding the molecular epidemiology of tuberculosis (TB) and mutations in genes associated with drug resistance may contribute to the development of appropriate interventions to improve tuberculosis control.
