New findings in bird flu described from Colorado State University, Animal Population Health Institute

A report, "Assessing the probability of the presence of low pathogenicity avian influenza virus in exported chicken meat," is newly published data in Avian Diseases. "Avian influenza (AI) is a disease of concern for the poultry industry. In its highly pathogenic form, AI viruses (AIVs) can cause a high morbidity and case fatality rate as well as severe economic consequences," scientists writing in the journal Avian Diseases report.
