500 Miles Bike-A-Thon to Help Fight South Asian Heart Disease

It may be cold and windy, but that isn't stopping Dr. Tony Singh, a South Bay physician, from launching a grueling 500 mile bike-a-thon through the Bay Area communities of San Francisco, Fremont, Milpitas, Sunnyvale and San Jose to help combat the global epidemic of South Asian heart disease.

Dr. Singh's one-man fundraising and awareness campaign will start at 3:30 PM today in front of the South Asian Heart Center at El Camino Hospital and end there on Monday afternoon. In between he will visit local community centers and places of worship along the route.
