New investigation results, 'Effect of exogenous vitamin E on proliferation and cytokine production in peripheral blood mononuclear cells from patients with tuberculosis,' are detailed in a study published in British Journal of Nutrition. According to a study from Sonora, Mexico, "Micronutrient deficiencies are frequently associated with tuberculosis (TB) worldwide. We tested the effect of exogenous vitamin E on proliferation and cytokine production of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) from TB patients and healthy purified protein derivative (PPD)+ volunteers."
