Studies from Hong Kong Polytechnic University describe new findings in SARS



April 15th, 2008

According to recent research from Hong Kong, People's Republic of China, "This study uses two models of nursing practice, conventional and modular design, to compare nursing activities, hand hygiene, time efficiency and nurse-patient satisfaction in medical and surgical wards. Learning from the SARS epidemic pointed to the importance of quality nursing practice considerations that minimize cross-transmission of infection while maximizing patient-focused care."
