Researchers detail in 'Theophylline inhibits free oxygen radicals production by human monocytes via phosphodiesterase inhibition,' new data in asthma. According to recent research published in the Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology, "Recent evidence suggests that theophylline, apart from bronchodilatation, derives its therapeutic activity in asthma from anti-inflammatory effects.
