"This study was executed to investigate the efficacy of oral therapy and preliminary leishmanicidal mechanism of sertraline, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor widely used for the management of depression, against Leishmania donovani, a causative agent of visceral leishmaniasis (VL).
