New bacterial meningitis research from King George Medical University, Department of Pediatrics discussed

New research, 'Quantitative DTI assessment of periventricular white matter changes in neonatal meningitis,' is the subject of a report. According to recent research published in the journal Brain and Development, "Neonatal meningitis is one of the important causes of infant mortality and morbidity. Periventricular white matter of neonatal brain is known to be vulnerable to oxidative and hypoxic/ischemic injury secondary to neuro-infections."
