Study findings from L.J. Wheat et al broaden understanding of aspergillosis immunology

A report, 'Diagnosis of invasive aspergillosis by galactomannan antigenemia detection using an enzyme immunoassay,' is newly published data in European Journal of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases. "Invasive aspergillosis is a serious and often fatal infection in patients who are neutropenic or have undergone solid organ or stem cell transplantation. Delayed diagnosis and therapy may lead to poor outcomes," scientists in the United States report.
