New vector-borne and zoonotic disease data have been reported by researchers at Charles Darwin University

According to recent research published in the journal Vector - Borne and Zoonotic Diseases, "The purpose of the present article is to present a review of the Ross River virus (RRV) and Barmah Forest virus (BFV) literature in relation to potential implications for future disease in tropical northern Australia. Ross River virus infection is the most common and most widespread arboviral disease in Australia, with an average of 4,800 national notifications annually."
