Data detailed in 'Aedes aegypti, Aedes albopictus, and dengue in Argentina: current knowledge and future directions' have been presented. "Since the reinfestation of South American countries by Ae. aegypti, dengue fever (DF) and dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) have become a major public health concern. The aim of this paper was to review the information related with Aedes vectors and dengue in Argentina since the reintroduction of Ae. aegypti in 1986," scientists writing in the journal Memorias Do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz report.
