New life sciences research reported from Beijing Institute of Radiation Medicine, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Research findings, 'Monolayers of the lipid derivatives of isoniazid at the air/water interface and the formation of self-assembled nanostructures in water,' are discussed in a new report. According to a study from Beijing, People's Republic of China, "Isoniazid (INH, isonicotinic acid hydrazide) is one of the most commonly used anti-tubercular drugs. However, resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains to anti-mycobacterial agents including INH is an increasing problem worldwide."
